Orlando Price Check

What a family of four would pay this week, and what you should know before you book.

THIS WEEK'S SCENARIO

Summer Holidays: 18 July to 1 August 2026

2 adults, 2 children (ages 8 and 10). London departure, 14 nights in Orlando. Every price below is for this exact scenario, searched on 1 April 2026. All prices in GBP.

FLIGHTS

London to Orlando Return

These are the cheapest return flights for a family of four, all from London airports. Prices are total for the whole family, not per person.

What This Means

The gap between the cheapest 1-stop and the best direct is £327 for the whole family. That buys you a non-stop from Heathrow arriving at 6pm local time. Your kids are at the pool by 8pm instead of midnight via Paris. For most families, that is worth it.

Gatwick direct is £754 more than the 1-stop option. Only consider it if Gatwick is significantly easier for you to reach.

🚨AVOID🚨 The Munich layover route (£3,998) has a 16-hour overnight connection. Not suitable for kids.

FLIGHT + HOTEL PACKAGES

All-In Prices: Flights and 14 Nights

Combined flight and hotel packages. All prices are total for the family (2 adults + 2 children). All routes via Air France with 1 stop.

What This Means

The full-package floor is around £3,733 for 14 nights including flights. That works out at roughly £267 per night for the whole family. The Ramada at £3,774 is only £41 more but scores 8.4 out of 10 versus 6.7, includes a free theme park shuttle, and is 3-star. It is the standout value in this set.

❗️REALITY CHECK❗️ These are budget options along the US-192 corridor in Kissimmee. They get you a bed and a pool. They do not get you proximity to Disney or a premium experience. If you have been to Orlando before, you will know the difference this makes. If you haven't, trust me when I say location matters.

HOTELS NEAR WALT DISNEY WORLD

These are hotel-only prices for the same dates. All properties have a pool and offer free cancellation. Converted to GBP at today's rate.

What This Means

The sweet spot near Disney is £114 to £145 per night for a 4-star resort with a pool. The Westgate properties dominate this area. They are large timeshare-style resorts with full kitchens, multiple pools, and shuttles to the parks. They are not luxury, but they are spacious and family-practical. If you are travelling with kids, the kitchen alone could save you £50 a day on breakfast and snacks.

The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista at £132 per night sits in the Disney Springs Resort Area. That means walking distance to Disney Springs restaurants and shops in the evening, which is a big quality-of-life upgrade after a long park day.

Wyndham Brands Near Disney: Real Rates

These prices come direct from Wyndham's own booking system. Real-time availability checked today. Converted to GBP.

What This Means

The range across Wyndham brands is enormous: £32 to £199 per night. The La Quinta properties hit the family sweet spot. Pool, free breakfast (that saves a family of four roughly £40 to £50 a day), and a recognisable mid-range brand. I have stayed at the Ramada Plaza on International Drive myself, and it is a solid, practical base for the parks.

The Magic Moment Resort with Kids Club at £136 per night is interesting if you are travelling with younger children who would benefit from structured activities while the adults decompress for an hour. Worth considering.

The Travelodge at £32 per night looks like a bargain, and it is, but it will be bare-bones. You get what you pay for at that price point.

THE ROWALLAN TRAVEL VERDICT

Within this product range, a 14-night summer Orlando holiday for a family of four will cost somewhere between £3,700 and £6,000+ depending on whether you book budget or mid-range, direct flights or connections, and how close to Disney you want to be.

The DIY floor, booking flights and hotels separately yourself, sits around £3,500 (cheapest flights at £3,064 plus cheapest Wyndham at roughly £450 for 14 nights). The pre-packaged floor is £3,733. You are paying around £230 extra for convenience.

What these prices do not include: park tickets (budget £2,000 to £5,000 for a family of four across Disney and Universal, depending on budget and preference), car hire or transfers, food, and spending money. The total realistic cost of holidays in this product range can be anywhere from a floor of around £9,000 to upwards of £15,000+.

That is exactly why getting the flights, accommodation, and tickets right matters. The wrong combination can cost you over £1,000 more than it needs to. If you would like to know what this holiday looks like through our trade-only suppliers, we would love to help.
